Side Pocket is a 1987 Billiard game created by Data East. With 2 game modes, Pocket (Single Player Mode) and Nine Ball and Traditional (Two Player Mode) Side Pocket takes the standard rules of Billiards and adds a twist to it by, creating rules like, clearing the ball off the table in a limited number of shots for a certain amount of points. Side Pocket has seen releases in the Arcade, Mega Drive/Genesis, NES, Super NES, Game Boy, Game Gear, and WonderSwan. G-mode currently obtains the intellectual rights to Side Pocket.
Side Pocket 2 is a 1995 Billiard game created by Data East. Its second installment of the series introduces the a new mode called “Trick Mode” where the player is required to complete 16 different types of trick shots to complete the mode. Like the original the single player (Story Mode) and Vs Mode was all available in this installment. G-mode currently obtains the intellectual rights to Side Pocket 2
Side Pocket 3(SegaSaturn,PlayStation)
Side Pocket 3 is a 1997 Billiard game created by Data East. As the final installment of the Side Pocket Series, this game was one of the first 3-D pools game of its time. Game Modes include the ever popular trick shot section now with the ability to make your very own trick shots. Story mode is similar to a mini RPG set in a 3D pre-rendered hotel. Billiard Game mode varies from 8 ball, Texas rule, etc with an option to view the table from above in a 2D style view similar to Side Pocket 2. Side Pocket 3 has seen releases on the Playstation, and Sega Saturn. G-mode currently owns the intellectual rights to Side Pocket 3.
